BMUS organizing 24th Mahila Udyog fair to give marketing platform to women entrepreneurs in state

New Delhi, Sept 25 (KNN) The 24th Mahila Udyog fair organized by Bihar Mahila Udyog Sangh (BMUS) will start from September 26 till September 30, 2018.

The objective of this fair is to provide marketing platform to rural and cottage industry women entrepreneurs of the state, BMUS Secretary, Menka Sinha told KNN India.

The main attraction of the fair will be Bihar's handicraft. In this, from Madhubani painting to tukoli art, sujani art and other forms of art will be the centre of attraction, she added.

Besides, the other attractions of the fair include artificial jewellery, edible products, home décoration items, embroidered suits and sarees, Sinha informed.

She further informed that entrepreneurs from other states like Gujarat, Bengal Jharkhand will also participate in this fair.

The Sangh time to time organizes several workshops and seminars to train the women entrepreneurs for skill up-gradation and to get entry into new avenues for self employment.

Through this fair, entrepreneurs of the Sangh will not only promote women entrepreneurship but also promote old crafts like Tikuli work, Applique Work, Madhubani Painting, Hand Embroidery etc.

The five day Mahila Udyog fair will be inaugurated by Jai Kumar Singh, Bihar Industries Minister.
