Budget Spl: Bihar MSMEs want Centre to fulfil its promise to provide Special Package to state

Patna, Jan 25 (KNN) The Bihar MSMEs seem to be a little upset with the Centre for not fulfilling its promise made before Assembly Elections in the state to allocate special package.

Talking to KNN, Lall Khetan, President, Bihar Industries Association (BIA) said, “Prime Minster had promised to allocate special package did not provide it to the state after losing elections here.”

“Central government had made announcement during election campaign but did not sanctioned it may be because they lost elections here. It means Centre was luring the voters during campaigns,” said Khetam.

For Bihar MSMEs, land and industrial parks are the main demands from the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in the upcoming Budget on February 1, 2017.

BIA said government should provide financial help to the industries.

“Central government should provide special package for the state in order to attract investments,” said Khetan.

He pointed that availability of land has been a matter of concern for the industries.

“Land availability has been a major issue, as to receive the land from the central government state government has to pay four times the payment”, claimed Ram Khetan.

“As central government is emphasizing on industrialization then it should facilitate the sector with industrial parks”, said Khetan.

BIA said for the state which already has financial issues “demonetization has made the state bear a loss of nearly Rs 5000 crores,” he added. (KNN/ RAS)
