Buyer-seller cluster for fasteners to come up in Gujarat

Ludhiana, Aug 20 (KNN) Fastener Manufacturers Association of India is planning to set up a buyer seller cluster in Gujarat to be able to tap into sectors such as refinery, power and automobiles which have a strong base in that state.
"We will set up a buyer-seller cluster in Gujarat whereby we will be selling fastener items made in Punjab through our representatives to be appointed in that state in order to boost MSME sector here," said a Business Standard report quoting President, Fastener Manufacturers Association of India President Narinder Bhamra.
To prepare ground for the buyer seller cluster, the Association is organising a convention in Ahmedabad next month during which fastener manufacturers from Punjab will display their products.
A fastener is a hardware device that mechanically joins or affixes two or more objects together.
One of the largest producers of fastener products in the country, Punjab has an annual production of about Rs 5,500 crore from over 1,200 units, out of which exports constitute 30 per cent, the media report said. (KNN/ES)
