Campaign to motivate people to start micro, small enterprises

Udumalpet, Sept 16 (KNN) In order to encourage people to start micro and small enterprises, the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute (DI), Coimbatore is going to organise an industrial motivator campaign for scheduled castes and tribes here.

The campaign will be held from September 23 to 25, at Padmasri Kalyanamandapam in the town.

It will motivate candidates to undergo a two-week entrepreneurship development programme (EDP) and six weeks entrepreneurship skill development programme to start their own enterprises.

Those who have passed Standard VIII and are above 18 years of age are eligible to attend the programme. There is no fee for participating in the campaign.

On successful completion of the training, need-based credit facilities which are subjected to merit of the project will be recommended under the government schemes.
