Canara Bank to open 38 new branches in J&K

Jammu, Jan 1 (KNN) A move which will create more job opportunities for the youth in J&K, Canara Bank has decided to set up 38 new branches in the state, and will further increase them to 51 branches in one and half years.
 
In order to expand its business in the state Chairman of Canara Bank R K Dubey told media that 13 branches of the Bank are already operating in the State. 
 
He also said that the bank has shortlisted 300 candidates for training in bank and later absorbing them after successful training, they were selected among 13,000 students who applied for the jobs. 

These selected students after training would be posted in Jammu and Kashmir, he said adding that after two-three years period they would be posted as Branch Managers as per their performance. 

Bank as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility has taken a special initiative under 'UDAAN' by government of India in association with NSDC & in coordination with the government of J&K.

Presently, Canara Bank has more than 4,500 Branches across the Country besides Business Units outside the Country. (KNN Bureau)
