New Delhi, Jan 24 (KNN) The working committee members of CCI have demanded State MSME Minister Omprakash Sakhlecha to develop a state-of-the-art furniture cluster in and around Jabalpur.

The President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Himanshu Khare has also called for initiating ISI mark in the furniture making industry of Jabalpur wherein 643 micro, 16 small and 3 medium enterprises are involved in this business.

The growth of the furniture market is growing at the rate of 20 per cent annually, he said. 

He also pointed out that  many schemes of cluster establishment are set up in Jabalpur, however  no furniture cluster has been set up till date. 

The government has set up a furniture cluster in Indore, hence a similar cluster in Jabalpur is also required, the chamber urged.
