Chairman of J&K Bank meets Governor Vohra to apprise about bank’s overall performance

New Delhi, Aug 17 (KNN) Parvez Ahmed, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank met Governor NN Vohra and apprised him about the bank’s overall performance, particularly the scale of its lending in agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, hospitality and tourism, poultry, sheep and goat rearing and other sectors.

He informed about the bank's performance in lending for the implementation of government of India flagship schemes under the Prime Minister’s Mudra Yojana; expansion of bank branches, support to start-ups to enable entrepreneurs to start their own MSME units and other ventures.

Stressing importance on the banks for triggering rapid growth and development of state, Governor advised the Chairman Parvez Ahmed to progressively strengthen the bank’s internal controls and system for ensuring high efficiency on all fronts.
