Chandigarh takes steps to boost tourism

Chandigarh, Dec 10 (KNN) The Chandigarh government has taken various steps including setting up new projects to build and expand its tourism sector.
The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation Limited (CITCO) has made plans to set up shops at Hotel Mountview and Hotel Shivalikview to attract more tourists.
In this regard, the government seeks bids from entrepreneurs to purchase the allotted plots within the premises of both hotels to set up ladies boutique, gift shop, book shop, florist, garment shop, event management, astrology and palmist.
CITCO is responsible for the promotion of tourism and managing community centres and clubs in the state.
