Ludhiana, Dec 23 (KNN) Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) and District Taxation Bar Association-Direct Taxes jointly organized a Webinar on "Vivad se Vishwas Scheme" and presented a scenario on faceless assessment under Income Tax Act.

While speaking during the webinar, Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU explained various difficulties faced by assesses. He stressed the need for faceless assessments by the Income Tax Department.

CA (Dr.) Girish Ahuja, explained about various cases, where accesses have got benefits under OTS Scheme.

''This scheme is very useful & everyone must take optimum use of this scheme,'' he added.

S Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU addressed the dignitaries and explained about expectation from Income Tax Department and stressed that faceless assessment under Income Tax Act.

He also stressed various issues regarding late refunds, harassment at Department offices.

Poonam Sidhu-Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar presided as Chief Guest and assured to resolve the issues being faced by the businessmen while CA Dheeraj Chately, President and CA Sumit Bharti Gupta, General Secretary, District Taxation Bar Association addressed several issues and explained various schemes of Income Tax.

Kritwant Sahay-Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Ludhiana, D S Chowdhary-Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Amritsar, Rameshwar Singh- Principal Commissioner of Income, Patiala and Narender Kumar Chand- Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (ReAC), Ludhiana also addressed the webinar.
