CICU launches rent-free service of oxygen concentrator to serve needy

Ludhiana, May 24 (KNN) The Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) has launched a free service oxygen concentrator to serve the needy people who are unable to pay for the same.

Varinder Kumar Sharma-IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana inaugurated the free service of oxygen concentrator launched on Monday.

S Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU highlighted that in this hard time of COVID-19 pandemic, the association started various free services like sanitization of industrial units, distribution of masks & sensitizers.

He further said that CICU WEF forum provides medical kits to converted COVID care hospitals like Meritorious School, Radha Swami Satsang hospital in Humbran & Mundia, supporting the government to find suitable suppliers of oxygen plants, medical gadgets, and organized free vaccination camps.

''Free service of oxygen concentrators to fill the shortage of Oxygen, which will serve the needy people, who are unable to pay,'' he added.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU mentioned that the oxygen concentrator will help the patient by providing them 10 Ltr. oxygen in 1 minute with 2-person capacity in one concentrator.

Deputy Commissioner, Sharma, appreciated the work being done by CICU and said that CICU is serving the society by launching various types of free service in this hard time.

The inauguration was attended by Phuman Singh, Finance Secretary, J S Bhogal, Publicity Secretary, Dicky Chhabra, CICU-WEF, Rajan Mittal, OP Bassi, Rahul Verma, Gulab Dying, Sarabjeet Singh from Akal Enterprises, Arun Goel from Arun Gases, Sidharath mittal and other members of CICU were also present.
