CICU organises symposium for Young Business Leader Forum

Ludhiana, Aug 28 (KNN) Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) on Saturday organised a symposium on “Strategies for Growth” for Young Business Leader Forum. 

Speaking on the occasion, S Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU welcomed Chief Guest Pankaj Munjal, MD, Hero Cycles Limited and gave a brief presentation of working of CICU.

He said the focus of CICU is towards upgrading the industry by organizing training sessions, job fairs, factory visits, exhibitions, industry related events etc.

He also stressed the need of shredding traditional culture adopted in industry and adopting the latest technology.

The CICU president also highlighted the importance of well-formed strategies as they enable business growth and provide an edge against competitors.

While commenting on the gap between Industry & Academia, he said, ''In order to eliminate this gap, CICU has created a technology enabling centre with the support of Punjab University, where industry can seek help from universities in developing new product or on other issues faced by them.''

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU while addressing the gathering mentioned how CICU since last few years have been working tirelessly to endeavour and match international standards and to bring back the glory of being Manchester of India with new trending culture and world class manufacturing.

''With the evolution of Electric Vehicle, it is going to be quite tough competition but it will open new horizons for the industry which will adopt the right strategy to survey,'' he said.

Pankaj Munjal, MD, Hero Cycles Limited shared his experience as how failures in his initial days transformed him. He emphasized that to be a successful Entrepreneur, you should learn from failure and should take calculated risks.

''When you are thinking of goals in business or life, think bigger goals as they will grow you into better individual. The world is changing very rapidly and we will have to change yourself in the same manner. Good practices need to followed and adopted in order to sustain growth,'' he asserted.

Great Companies are made from Great Products. To sell your product in the market largely depends on how well you know your product, he said. 

Nitin Dhand, CICU YBLF member introduced Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME) , a program of Government of Punjab in collaboration with CICU. The agenda of this program is to build a strong organization and compete in the market.

He thanked CICU for providing a platform to build a progressive eco system in Ludhiana.

J S Bhogal, Publicity Secretary, CICU shared the objective of formation of CICU YBLF group is to upskill the young entrepreneurs and help them to achieve their goals.

CICU regularly organizes factory visits, motivational sessions, skill development sessions, management sessions etc to upskill and upgrade young entrepreneurs, he said.

The program was attended by more than 150 members, some namely by S/Sh. S.K Rai, Avtar Singh Bhogal, Barunpreet Singh Ahuja, G.S Dhillion, Gautam Malhotra, Honey Sethi, J.K Sablok, Rajat Gupta, Sarvjit Singh, Davinder Garg, Munish Mehta, Dipin Mahajan, Surinder Singh, Kishore Kumar Ladia, Diljot Singh along with other prominent members.
