CICU with Punjab University organises debate on Research & Development needs of industry
Ludhiana, Aug 31 (KNN) Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) in collaboration with tech enabling centre - Arm of Punjab University and DST-CPR took initiative to debate on Research & Development needs of Industry.
S. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU shared that technology upgradation is dire need of the industry and Industry is eager to join hands with Institutions.
Acquiring technology from Countries like Japan, China, Korea, and USA are very costly. Indian institutes have the capacity of Low cost Technology, but there is a gap between Industry and Academia.
"To bridge this gap, CICU is always on the forefront of Industry Academia Collaboration by organizing regular Industrial visits programs and Job fairs time to time to bridge the gap," cicu said in a statement on Tuesday.
Prof. Manu Sharma, Head TEC-PU along with Ankush Gawari, Manager, TEC-PU mentioned that an action-plan will be chalked out by TEC-PU to visit industries to have one to one interaction to get deep understanding of potential issues and to stitch meaningful Industry- Academia collaborations.
The program was attended by Sh. S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU, Sh. Nikhil Dhand, Sh. Jagbir Singh Sokhi, Mr. Gautam Malhotra, VP, CICU, Mr. Rajat Gupta, Press Secretary, CICU, Sh. Satinderjit Singh Autom, Sh. Kulwant Singh Sall, Mr. Sudhir Dua, Debros Enterprises, Faridabad, Mr. Sukhjot Singh ASCO, Mr. Nikhil Dhand, Dhand Steels, Mr. Sarvjit Singh AhujaAkal Enterprises, Ludhiana.
