CLW, Indian Railways invites MSEs to participate in vendor meet on May 13

Kolkata, May 11 (KNN) Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), electric locomotive manufacturer under Indian Railways has invited Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to participate in vendor meet on May 13.

During the meet, information on various initiatives taken by Railways and the item for which new vendors are required will be shared with the participants at the Officer's club in Chittaranjan.

It will also cover vendor approval procedure of CLW and hold an open house discussion with all vendors on various materials related issues.

In January, 2022 Indian Railways reduced its vendor application fee from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 10,000 to attract Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs) as supply chain vendors.

For businesses other than MSMEs, the fee was cut 94 per cent from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 15,000.  (KNN Bureau)
