CM Adityanath Inaugurates Rs 750-Crore Projects in Ghaziabad; Distributes Jobs, Loans, and Digital Devices
Ghaziabad, Sep 19 (KNN) In a major developmental push, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched infrastructure projects worth Rs 750 crore in Ghaziabad, along with various public welfare initiatives.
Speaking at an event held at the Ghantaghar Ramlila Maidan, Adityanath emphasised his government's commitment to development and job creation, particularly for the youth.
The event saw the distribution of tablets and smartphones to over 6,000 college students as part of the state’s digital empowerment drive. More than 10,000 appointment letters for private-sector jobs were also handed out, with salaries ranging from Rs 75,000 to Rs 12,000.
One such recipient, Lokesh Kumar, a 23-year-old from Ashok Vihar Loni Dehat, expressed his joy at landing a position as a physiotherapy assistant.
“It’s a dream come true,” said Kumar, who had recently completed a general duty assistant course under the Uttar Pradesh Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
In another major initiative, loans worth Rs 327 crore were distributed to over 632 beneficiaries under the MSME Innovative Scheme, aimed at boosting small and medium-scale enterprises.
Seven entrepreneurs were awarded cheques for setting up industries, including Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, who received Rs 30 crore for his home appliances business.
The initiative aims to encourage local manufacturing and entrepreneurship in sectors ranging from automobiles to packaging.
Adityanath announced that work on the long-awaited AIIMS Ghaziabad will begin soon, with a proposal already sent to the Union government.
He also unveiled plans for the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana, a new scheme providing interest-free loans of up to Rs 10 lakh to young entrepreneurs looking to start businesses.
The Chief Minister took the opportunity to criticise opposition parties, accusing Congress and the Samajwadi Party of making false promises and failing to deliver. "All they did was loot the people and exploit the youth," Adityanath said, adding that in the past seven years, Ghaziabad has undergone significant transformation into a smart city.
The event marked another milestone in the BJP government's development agenda for Uttar Pradesh, aiming to uplift the state's economy and provide opportunities for its burgeoning youth population.
