CM Fadnavis sets up high-powered committee to draft action plan for skill development

Mumbai, August 5 (KNN) Maharashtra Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has set up a high-powered seven-member committee to draft an action plan for the Pramod Mahajan skill and entrepreneurship development mission. 
 
The committee would be headed by chief secretary Swadheen Kshatriya.

An independent department for skill development was set up by the state chief minister soon after he had assumed office.
 
During the budget session of the state legislature, Fadnavis had declared that his government would set up a skill and entrepreneurship development mission in memory of the late Mahajan.
 
The cabinet approved the proposal on July 12, while an official order was issued on Tuesday.
 
According to a media report, the committee will take stock of the funds available with all the departments for skill development and would draft action plan for skill development. (KNN Bureau)
