CM Mann approves proposal to hold Punjab Investment summit next year
Chandigarh, Sept 8 (KNN) The Punjab chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday approved the proposal for organising a mega Investment summit in February 2023.
While chairing a meeting of Invest Punjab, Mann said that the summit will go a long way in ensuring holistic industrial development of the state to propel it into the orbit of high-growth trajectory.
The Chief Minister directed the state government’s investment promotion agency to hold promotion outreach programme, including roadshows in all key cities of India and globally to promote the event at a larger scale.
The state has been successful in getting in investment worth Rs 21,000 crore so far. This will help generate employment for around 93,000 youth of the state.
For further development of the industries in the state, the Punjab government has offered 1,000 acres of land in Fatehgarh Sahib district to the central government for setting up a textile park under PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Parks (PM MITRA) scheme. (KNN Bureau)
