CODISSIA urges MSME Minister to take immediate steps to boost industry

Coimbatore, Jan 5 (KNN) The Coimbatore MSMEs, in a memorandum, have urged the Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra to amend the defence procurement policy for better involvement of Indian MSMEs in the process.

The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) met the Minister during his visit to the city on Sunday. The industry body submitted a memorandum to Mishra raising few concerns of the industry and proposing measures to boost development.

In the memorandum, CODISSIA demanded for an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Centre in the region.

The industry body also urged for a technology centre in Coimbatore and interest subversion for TUF Schemes.
 
The capital investment should be considered under the grants Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme (CLCSS), demanded CODISSIA.
 
The industry also said that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) should be implemented on urgent basis. (KNN Bureau)
