Conference on rural chemical industries

Wardha, Jan 7 (KNN)  To give direction to rural people, enabling them to earn more, the  Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Rural Industrialization (MGIRI) is organising a national workshop cum conference on “Future of Rural Chemical Industries in India” here.  

Scheduled to be held from January 16-17, the conference will broadly cover topics such as value added products, quality control, packing material, waste utilisation, statutory regulation and business opportunity.

For enhance learning experience, it will have a presentation room equipped with audio-visual facilities such as laptop, data projector and screen.

The participants of the two day entrepreneurship programme will be people from various sectors like students, micro and small entrepreneurs, farmers, women SHG leaders, entrepreneurs and the experts working in the area of upliftment of village industries.

MGIRI focuses on accelerating the process of rural industrialisation in the country along the lines of Gandhian vision of sustainable and self-reliant village economy and to provide science and technology support to upgrade the products of rural industry to local and global markets.

The institute’s Rural Chemical Industries Division has the objective to provide development guidance and support in the area of chemical products and its manufacturing process for rural entrepreneurs.  (KNN/ST)
