Ludhiana, Apr 3 (KNN) MSME owners and their employees in the city got vaccinated as free COVID-19 vaccination Mega Camp organised for them by Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) in collaboration with Punjab government.

According to the industrial body CICU, five days free COVID-19 vaccination Mega Camp organized by the latter with the Punjab government for the industry and it was inaugurated by Mamta Ashu, Councillor.

Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary and S Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU thanked the state government, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Cabinet Minister, Food and Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Mamta Ashu, Councillor and Administration of Ludhiana for supporting the industry by providing staff and COVID-19 vaccine.

''There was a dire need of Covid-19 vaccine to control the Corona crisis in industry. More than 10000 workers/industrialists will be covered in this Free Mega Camp. Moreover, camps will take place at factories as well where medical facilities are available,'' he said.

On Saturday and Sunday maximum workers and their families will be vaccinated and, in this regard, CICU will carry a special drive, a statement said on Saturday.

While appreciating the work of CICU during COVID crisis, Mamta Ashu informed that this camp would be expanded further and all the facilities for vaccinate drive will be provided as per the demand to cover all workers and industrialists.
