CUTS Int’l-FISME to hold International Symposium on Competitiveness of North Indian States to achieve inclusive growth
New Delhi, Jan 15 (KNN) In a bid to explore the different dimensions of industrial sector including the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the country, CUTS International along with US Department of State, FICCI and FISME is to hold international symposium themed “Competiveness of North Indian States to achieve Inclusive growth”.
The two day event is scheduled for 23rd and 24th of January at J.W Marriott in Chandigarh.
The inaugural session of the symposium is themed “US and India Competiveness: New Conversation with renewed opportunities”. The main focus of the session is to explore issues pertaining to enhancing competitive and Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) among the North Indian States.
Also the event is to have a session on analysing challenges in accessing key elements including finance, electricity, labour and transport. The delegate is to chalk out the common issues and challenges faced by the different states and deliberate upon steps to overcome these challenges.
Skill being one of the major factors for the industrial sector, the event is also to host a session on maximising skills for jobs and jobs for skills.
Also a dedicated session on opportunities for entrepreneurs and MSMEs is lined up for the symposium. The participants are to explore the various dimensions pertaining to the contribution of MSMEs to international trade and ways to strengthen the same.
The event is being organized in association with CUTS International, US Department of State, Industry body Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce Industry (FICC), and MSME Body Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME). (KNN/DA)
