New Delhi, Oct 15 (KNN) The Delhi Cabinet has approved the Delhi Industrial Policy 2026, a 10-year roadmap to attract investment, modernise industries and create jobs, focusing on clean technology, advanced manufacturing and knowledge-based sectors.
The government has allocated Rs 1,000 crore for the Mukhyamantri Udyamshree Yojana between 2026-27 and 2030-31 to boost industrial growth and employment.
The policy identifies 10 priority sectors, including IT, GCCs, data centres, healthcare, R&D, urban logistics, circular economy, precision manufacturing, skill development and MSME modernisation.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the policy aims to establish Delhi as a hub for advanced technology, specialised services and modern manufacturing while promoting investment in non-polluting, high-value industries, reported The Indian Express.
Sector-Specific Incentives
The policy offers incentives for capital investment, rentals, recruitment, research, certification, technology upgrades, energy conservation and skill development, with higher limits for women-led enterprises.
IT and digital services firms can receive up to Rs 10 crore for digital infrastructure, rising to Rs 12 crore for women-led businesses, alongside support for rentals, bandwidth, cloud services and recruitment.
Global Capability Centres (GCCs) are eligible for investment incentives of up to Rs 50 crore, or Rs 60 crore for women-led enterprises, with additional support for research, certification and workspace development.
Data centres will receive incentives for capital investment, water-efficient cooling systems and data security-related expenses.
Support For MSMEs And Healthcare
The policy offers MSMEs up to Rs 5 crore for technological modernisation, rising to Rs 7 crore for women-led enterprises, alongside support for energy efficiency, rooftop solar and apprenticeships.
Healthcare investments can receive incentives of up to Rs 10 crore, while hospitals with at least 1,000 beds are eligible for up to Rs 100 crore. Assistance will also cover healthcare certifications and specialist recruitment.
The policy further promotes recycling, organic waste processing, e-waste management, precision manufacturing and industry-linked skill development.
Single-Window Support For Investors
Invest Delhi will act as a single point of contact for investors, assisting with site selection, approvals, incentives and grievance redressal. The Delhi Udyog Mitra Portal will streamline clearances.
The policy also proposes redeveloping industrial areas and modernising existing units by leveraging Delhi’s corporate, research and educational institutions, skilled workforce and market access.
Gupta said the policy aims to boost investment, create opportunities for youth and women, and build a cleaner, modern, knowledge-based industrial economy over the next decade.
