Delhi Budget will meet expectations of aam aadmi, says Kejriwal

New Delhi, June 25 (KNN) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that his party's first Budget, to be presented today, would meet the expectations of the common people.
 
"Manish presents his first budget today. Aam Admi's budget I am sure he will meet aam admi's expectations. My best wishes," Kejriwal said on twitter.
 
The Delhi Assembly had passed three bills on the first day of the Budget Session, including the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement (Amendment) Bill and the Delhi Legislative Assembly Members (Prevention of Disqualification) (Amendment) Bill.
 
It also passed a Bill according university status to Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT).
 
The Budget Session, which began on Tuesday, will have six sittings and conclude on June 30.
 
In the vote-on-account, the AAP government had allocated Rs. 21,500 crore for non-plan expenditure while the plan outlay was around Rs. 16,250 crore.
 
The proposed non-plan expenditure is around Rs. 3,000 crore more than last year's allocation while plan outlay would be Rs. 100 crore less than last year's outlay. (KNN Bureau)
