New Delhi, Dec 18 (KNN) In a bid to provide financial assistance in the form of loan to unemployed youths of SC/OBC/Minorities & Safai Karamcharis for the purchase of commercial vehicles and battery operated e-rickshaws, Delhi government has initiated a self-employment scheme.

The state government has invited unemployed youths of the above categories under self-employment scheme for commercial vehicles and battery operated e-rickshaws, loans as per their own choice.

The main objective of this scheme is to help them become self-employed.

The interested candidates are required to submit complete application forms duly filled with necessary documents within 30 days at the branch office of DSFDC.

DSFDC is a state level institution for financing, facilitating and promoting the economic developmental activities for all-round development and economic upliftment of the members of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other Backward Classes, Minorities, Safai Karamcharies and Handicapped who are living below the poverty line in National Capital Territory of Delhi.

To take the advantage of the scheme, candidates must have a valid commercial driving license & badge in his own name and should be permanent resident of Delhi for the last 5 years.

Besides, other certificates are required like caste and income certificates to avail the benefits of the scheme.
