In the draw held at the DSIIDC Business Centre, 53 plots measuring 100 square metres, 64 plots measuring 150 square metres, six plots measuring 250 square metres and two flatted factories measuring 27.75 square metres each were allotted.
The allotted plots are located in the industrial estates at Bawana and Bawana-II (Bhorgarh) while the flatted factories are in Jhilmil Industrial complex.
With these allotments, the number of plots allotted by the Corporation so far under the relocation scheme has gone up to 22,472.
The DSIIDC spokesperson said that with this allotment, the waiting list in the 100 square metres, 200 square metres, 250 square metres and flatted factory categories has been completely exhausted and now only 135 applicants in the 150 square metres category remain.
The relocation scheme was launched by the Delhi Government in 1996 with the approval of the Supreme Court to enable the industrial units to relocate from residential and non-conforming areas to approved industrial areas for improving the quality of life and de-congesting the residential areas.
The industrial units are being shifted to newly developed industrial areas like Narela, Bawana, Patparganj, Badli, Okhla and Jhilmil. (KNN)
