Noida Industrialists Complain About Illegal Vendors, Open Drains Menace

Noida, Nov 1 (KNN) Entrepreneurs in Noida's industrial sectors of 4, 5, 7, and 10 have urged the authorities to resolve issues concerning encroachments by vendors, garbage dumps, and open drains.

A group of industry owners met with officials of the Noida Authority and raised these concerns, reported TOI.

The president of the Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA), Vipin Malhan, said, "The encroachment is causing difficulties in daily commuting as well as the deployment of industrial loads through the stretch without getting stuck in a jam." VK Seth, the general secretary of NEA, complained that an open drain in Sector 1 has been a source of accidents in the past.

"We demanded that the Authority officials cover it, as it's risky, especially in the dark," said Seth.

During the meeting with the Authority, NEA representatives also demanded the installation of speed breakers at the G block intersection of Sector 6 and the repair of the faulty flow of drains across industrial sectors.

Among other issues, Malhan added that the foul smell from the heaps of garbage dumped by the roadside in Sector 7 is a serious health hazard. "The traffic cell of the Authority issues challans to vehicles parked inside the white strips, which is unfair," said Malhan.

Furthermore, the interlocking tiles are yet to be laid in E-block, Sector 7. In the meeting, Dorilal Verma, a senior manager of the Authority, ordered the present staff to remove the mentioned encroachment. "While work has begun in Sector 4, the anti-encroachment drive will cover other industrial sectors this week," he said.

Verma also assured that all open drains will be covered soon, and vacant plots will be cleaned of garbage dumps.
