'Delhi Startup Policy' to offer collateral-free loans
Delhi, May 6 (KNN) The newly launched 'Delhi Startup Policy' will provide collateral-free loans and financial assistance to promising entrepreneurs to set up their businesses.
Sharing a brief about the policy virtually, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the aim of the policy is to promote entrepreneurship in the national capital by providing financial aid to build a successful business.
Through this new policy, a 20-member task force to consisting of chartered accountants, lawyers, government officers, academics and trade representatives to assist budding entrepreneurs in setting up their businesses will be formed by the Delhi government.
The government hopes that the policy will lead to a boom in the start-up sector in Delhi, he added.
He also announced the extension of ongoing "Business Blaster" programme to students of state-run colleges so that they can work on their business ideas with seed money from the government.
With this, college students will be allowed to take leave for one-two years to focus on their business. (KNN Bureau)
