Dharmendra Pradhan writes to MSME Minister; seeks to open CTTC

New Delhi, Mar 18 (KNN) Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has written to Union Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) minister Nitin Gadkari with a request to open an extension centre of Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) at Angul in Odisha.

Reportedly, Pradhan, in his letter to Gadkari, Pradhan suggested that opening of such centre at Angul will provide production, design, and consultancy and training facilities to small scale industries.

''Angul centre will enable the youth to embark on project consultancy to the many small-scale industries operating around Angul region,'' said Pradhan.

Pradhan also said the CTTC in Bhubaneswar is among 10 TRs/TDIs in India, with extension centres at Jajpur and Rayagada.

Lauding CTTC, Pardhan said that these centres have been providing skill development training facilities to youths of the regions.

''The role in supporting the development of small-scale industries and upskilling of technical manpower and creation of employment prospects in these regions are of much importance,'' he added.
