Mohali, Mar 7 (KNN) The District Udyam Samagam (DUS) 2020 was flagged off on Friday by the District Industries Centre (DIC) SAS Nagar at Mohali Industries Association (MIA) Bhawan here.

The Samagam has been organised under the flagship of Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India in collaboration with the state government, Department of Industries and Commerce (DICC), Punjab, Industry Associations, PSUs/ CPSUs and all departments under the aegis of government of Punjab.

The Samagam will be held on March 7th and 8th which will have trade exhibition both Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Consumer (B2C) components to show case their products.

During the Samagam, the department will conduct 8 sessions for disseminating information about various schemes of the government to increase their outreach to MSMEs. These sessions will be held in the MIA Bhawan conference hall.

Around 17 government departments are participating in the 3 day Udyog Samagam which include Punjab Agro, Markfed, Verka, PSDM, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, PSIEC, PIU, PBIP, PEDA, Punjab Agro, Fisheries, GeM, Self Help Group, NIIFT, Science and Technology.

Yogesh Sagar, President (MIA) informed that the first day of the Samaagam sessions were very useful as it was attended by large number of members.
