New Delhi,  Sept 30 (KNN)  Residents of Gujarat have been given additional time to file their income tax returns, the due date has been extended to October-14.
 
The extension is on account of floods and heavy rains in the state which has disrupted normal life.
 
“On consideration of reports of dislocation of general life caused due to recent heavy rains and floods in the State of Gujarat, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has extended the ‘due-date’ for filing Returns of Income from 30^th September, 2013 to 14^th October, 2013, in cases of Income Tax assessees in the State of Gujarat,” said an official notification.  (KNN/ES)
