Effluent water recycling system for textile industry to be launched at Surat Expo

Surat, July 7 (KNN) During the 8th edition of the Surat International Textile Expo 2023 (SITEX), India’s first effluent water recycling system for the textile dyeing and processing mills will be launched. 
 
The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) in collaboration with Surat TEXMAC Federation is organising the event on July 8 at the Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre (SIECC).
 
Union Minister of State for Textiles and Railway, Darshana Jardosh will be inaugurating SITEX 2023 at Sarsana in Surat. 
 
The three-day long SITEX 2023 will be featuring the ultra-modern weaving machines and its live demo of the high-speed heavy density fabrics used in the in BMW cars and exported from Surat to Germany. 
 
The exhibition will also feature ‘Army’, an electronic jacquard machine operating on the speed of 1,000 RPM, which is a ‘Make in India’ product and the only machine with the height of 9.5 feet.
 
Apart from this, an airjet machine with a speed of more than 1000 rpm specially prepared to meet the demand of the international market and to make defect-free cloth of export quality like viscose will also be the center of attraction in the exhibition.
 
Ramesh Vaghasia, President of SGCCI said, “The main objective of this ambitious SITEX exhibition is to give a new direction and momentum to the textile industry of the city.” 
 
“This exhibition for textile technology and machinery will directly benefit in the growth prospects of textile industry of Surat,” he said. 
 
Acording to Vaghasia, SITEX 2023 is expected to generate the business turnover of a whooping RS 800 crore in just three days. 
 
“The entire dome at SIEEC is fully booked as about 60 exhibitors are participating. We have received 20,000 online registrations and the total visitors are likely to cross 25,000 in three days,” he said.
