Election 2019: Labor department of Telangana declares paid holiday tmrw

Hyderabad, Apr 10 (KNN) With just one day left for the first phase of General Elections 2019 to begin, Telangana is among the 20 states that are gearing up to vote on April 11, 2019.

In lieu of this, Telangana government has declared a paid holiday tomorrow April 11 for all the employees/workers working in factories, shops and establishments and industrial undertakings/establishments.

In a notification issued recently, Labour and Employment Department Principal Secretary, Shashank Goel said the holiday has been declared to enable the electorate to exercise their franchise in the first phase of general elections to the Lok Sabha (House of People) in the 17 parliamentary constituencies in the State.

Other states which will have voting for all its constituencies in the first phase are Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
