Ensure workers are paid Diwali bonus by industries including MSMEs: CITU to district admin

Coimbatore, Nov 9 (KNN) Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) has urged the district administration and Labour department to see to it that all the industries in the region including the MSMEs and the large ones pay bonus to their workers before Deepavali. 

A CITU release said that thousands of workers in textile mills and plantations in Valparai, were awaiting bonus money to celebrate the festival. 

The district administration and labour department should monitor the disbursement of bonus to the workers well ahead of Deepavali, it added. (KNN Bureau)
