EPCH to organise handicrafts fair in Oct

Noida, Aug 24 (KNN) Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) will organise the 36th edition of Indian handicrafts and gift fair featuring products of 2,400 exhibitors and home furnishing textiles loaded with new merchandising from across the country.

The fair is Asia's largest gifts and handicrafts trade fair and consists of jewellery, accessories, bags, housewares and other decorative items. It will be organised from 15-18 October in Greater Noida.

The fair promotes eco-friendly products made of cane, bamboo, dry flowers, leaves etc. Buyers can start preparation for Christmas as the fair offers a wide range of products like basketware, candle holders, Christmas tree candles and bells made from natural material.

It also offers bouquets, gift-wrap, boxes, ribbons, accessories, greeting cards etc. All the products are made up of natural fibre like jute, cotton, silk etc.     
                             
Gifts and handicrafts from this fair will help customers set trends. Also, the fair throws business opportunities for artisans and craftsman from across the country.
 
It will have separate stalls for home textiles, furniture, floor coverings and accessories for curtains and bathrooms.

The 35th edition of Indian handicrafts and gifts fair organised in 2012 was participated by over 2,443 export houses. It was visited by more than 4,210 foreign buyers and agents and sold products worth Rs 735 crore. 

However, the fair organised in 2011 registered more visitors and did better business of Rs 1,130 crore as compared to 2012.

The 34th edition of the fair was participated by over 2, 347 exporter houses. It was visited by over 5, 300 foreign buyers and agents.

One of the main objectives of EPCH is to participate in specialized international trade fairs of handicrafts and organize such fairs in India.  (KNN/GUNJ)
