European Union woos state government's initiatives for startups in Odisha

New Delhi, Feb 27 (KNN) European Union has appreciated the State government initiative of Startup Odisha and Smart City which have covered wide range of audiences extensively.

In order to learn and explore various possibilities of cooperation and avenues about the initiatives a 12-member European Union delegation, headed by first counsellor and head of research and innovation Tania Friederichs, recently visited the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) department.

The details of the Startup Odisha initiative was presented by the department's additional chief secretary L.N. Gupta and further, he also explained the highlighting features of Odisha startup policy, startup portal and the benefits of the move that they have taken to support startups.

Friederichs appreciated the benefits offered to the 175 start-ups during the 10-month period and also proposed to extend a network help from the European Union and collaborate in areas of innovation and entrepreneurship. (KNN/YV)
