EV and Drone manufacturing units to be set-up in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, July 16 (KNN) With the help of Directorate of Technical Education & Training (DTET) through Government Polytechnic (GP) Bhubaneswar an Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and a Drone Manufacturing and Training Centre will be set up in Odisha.

A Skill Development Centre will also be set up in the State. 

DTET signed 3 agreements with with Skyy Rider Institutions Put. Ltd., Skyy Rider Electric Pvt.Ltd and Aero Rovers on the occasion of World Youth Skill Day on Friday.

Skyy Rider Institutions with the help of Odisha government will develop the proposed skill Development Centre. 

It will deliver to more than 80 different skill development programmes in the fields of automotive, electric vehicle and software development, Industrial Robotics, Drones, Mechanotrics.

The centre is expected to generate more than 10,000 jobs every year.

This centre will draw students from throughout the country for a variety of courses and raise Odisha's profile nationally.

Skky Rider Electric Pvt. Ltd. signed a MoU with Government Polytechnic to set up an Electric Vehicle manufacturing unit in Government Polytechnic campus.

This MoU will help to enable the EV eco-system and provide necessary facilities to produce more than 16 categories of vehicles. (KNN Bureau)
