Excellence awards for Karnataka exporters

Mysore, Feb 5 (KNN) With an aim to encourage exporters of the state who have excelled in exporting their products, the Government of Karnataka is conferring the state Export Excellence Awards for best performance in exports for the year 2013-14.
“Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre, a government of Karnataka organisation has invited application for 85 Gold Export Awards to encourage and recognise export of the state,” said a release.
It will cover various categories like manufacturers and service exporters in the field of agriculture and horticulture, food products, readymade garments, electronics and communications, engineering products, handicrafts, minerals, textiles, gems and jewellery, chemicals, plastics, medicines, leather products, tourism, health, education and hospitality.
In this regard, the Mysore Industries Association has invited exporters to submit their applications on or before February 12, 2015 to Managing Director VTPC Bangalore with a copy to the association.
The application has to be placed before selection committee to examine for considering the same for awards under various categories.
Trade Promotion Services offered by VTPC provide a unique opportunity to the trading fraternity to partake in B2B networking meetings, delegation exchange programs and domestic and international exhibitions and trade fairs. (KNN/ST)
