New Delhi, Jun 20 (KNN) Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung has formed an advisory group of experts for addressing various issues relating to water  in the national capital including dumping of untreated sewage into the polluted Yamuna river. The issue concerns a large number of industrial units in the city which are facing heat from the state pollution control body.

“...It was felt that government must develop a long – term master plan to address the water and sewage issues in Delhi,” a Delhi government release announcing constitution of the expert group on water said.

It said a number of short-term measures were decided to improve water availability in Delhi. These included setting up water ATMs, facilitating connections and releasing water to unauthorised colonies.

The expert group will be set up by former Water Resoruces Secretary Babubhai Navalawala. (KNN Bureau)
