Bhubaneswar, Sept 13 (KNN) A national handloom expo organised by the Odisha State Handloom Weavers Co-op Society Ltd (Boyanika) is underway at IDCO Exhibition Ground, Unit-III, Bhubaneswar from September 12 to October 9.

The primary aim of this expo is to facilitating sustainable livelihood to the weavers by providing them with a common platform for marketing their handloom products.

As per reports, Over 200 kiosk are being setup at the event. Different variety of Handwovens products will be available at the expo.

The event was inaugurated yesterday by Rita Sahu, Minister, Handlooms, Textiles and Handicrafts in the presence of Ananta Narayan Jena, MLA, Bhubaneswar (Central), Shubha Sarma, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, HT&H Deptt., Susanta Kumar Dash, Director of Textiles and Handlooms, and Shyambhakta Mishra, Managing Director, Boyanika.

Boyanika is working as the implementing agency and committed for all round socio-economic development of the weavers of the State. This organisation is implementing various developmental programmes for the welfare of state weavers.  (KNN Bureau)
