Chandigarh, May 23 (KNN)  The industrial town of Faridabad may have lost its old glory being a leading manufacturing hub around the national capital, but the city still commands double the price when it comes to rates of industrial plots fixed by the HSIIDC.

While plots in IMT Faridabad cost Rs 11,600 per square metre, plots in Panipat are a mere Rs 6,500 per square metre.

In an official notification today HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited) has offered opportunities to set up industrial units at various locations, applications for which can be made online.

As many as 125 industrial plots are offered for allotment in three sizes at IMT Faridabad and the tentative rate per square metre is Rs 11,600.  In IMT Bawal, 100 plots of three sizes are available for Rs 5,500 per square metre.

On the other hand, in the industrial estate of Panipat, there are 210 plots of four sizes costing Rs 6,500 per square metre.  As far as the industrial estate of Barhi is concerned, there are 160 plots in four sizes, also costing Rs 6,500 per square metre.

All allotments will be made in accordance with the Industrial and Investment Policy-2011 of the state government and the Estate Management Procedure (EMP-2011) of the Corporation.  Units looking for allotment of industrial plots in the towns have to register at the e-governance portal at www.hsiidcesewa.org.in.  However, the number and sizes of the plots may vary at the time of allotment, HSIIDC has said.

Prior to submission of application for allotment, applicants have to study guidelines for on-line industrial plot applicants; procedure for filling application; terms and conditions for plot allotment; and advertisement for plot allotment sections available on the e-governance portal.

Applicants under reserved/preferential categories of NRIs/PIOs and units with 33 per cent or more FDI in total investment as well as persons with disabilities can also apply against plots reserved for them.
