Federation of Solar Industry demand subsidy on start capital & interest for MSME units in Gujarat

Rajkot, 14 Dec (KNN) The office bearers of the Federation of Solar Industry has submitted an application to the Collectorate on Monday with a demand to start capital and interest subsidy for MSME units.

As per a gujarati news daily, Sanj Samachar President of Federation of Solar Industries Kishore Singh Zala and Secretary Parthivbhai Dave have stated that Power Purchase Agreement was signed with MSMEs from all over Gujarat till May 2021. 

“Then all of a sudden a resolution was issued by the energy department of the Gujarat government not to give subsidy. The whole industry was stunned by such a move,” added Zala and Dave. 

Moreover, a letter from the Department of Industry (Small Industries) regarding SSDSP-2019 was issued by Deputy Secretary DK Bhoi which stated that MSME is not eligible for capital and interest subsidy which is against the law, said the senior officials of the federation. 

They pressed on the accountability of the Department of Industry for capital and interest subsidy payable to the MSME sector.
