FICCI meets MoS DoNER, urges promotion of entrepreneurship-startups in J&K and North-East regions

New Delhi, Apr 18 (KNN) To discuss business and investment plans for Northeast regions of India, the President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), called on the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy & Space, Dr Jitendra Singh.

FICCI President, Rashesh Shah said that the entire business community and business trade organizations across the country are looking forward to the Northeast regions of India for unexplored avenues.

He said that the region has immense potential in the field of tourism and agriculture and also the business community is interested in investing in these sectors.

In this direction, Jitendra Singh made some suggestions and recommended the FICCI to organize series of awareness programs among business community and consumers of Jammu and Kashmir and North east regions about the investment opportunities and business ventures suitable for their respective regions.

He further, emphasized on the need to promote young start-ups and young entrepreneurs from across the country to come forward and invest in these areas.

On discussing the views and suggestions, Shah conferred the Minister of State that FICCI will soon come out with a comprehensive plan in the form of a written document which would be the road- map for the best possible investments and industry initiatives in the times to come. (With PIB inputs)
