FOIJ delegation requests Deputy Commissioner to introduce MIS at Lakhanpur Check post for speedy clearance of industrial goods

New Delhi, Sept 11 (KNN) A MSME delegation from Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) has requested Ashish Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Toll Post Lakhanpur, J&K for the introduction of  Merchant Informative System (MIS) at Lakhanpur Check post for the speedy clearance of industrial goods with the updating of data of raw material as well as finished goods of the Industrial Units.

In a meeting with Deputy Commissioner, FOIJ Chairman, Lalit Mahajan suggested that the Excise & Taxation Department shall adopt the online submission of Toll Tax Exemption form to minimize the time for the clearance of Industrial Goods.

The delegation led by FOIJ Chairman in the presence of Ajit Lal Bawa, Co-Chairman, Pardeep Vaid, Secretary General, Ajay Langer Convener appreciated the steps taken by the Deputy Commissioner for streamlining the 24x7 clearance for industrial goods for toll tax exemption with the posting of requisite steps in the night hour.

But they pointed that due to some reservation of the clearing agents of the industrial units at Lakhanpur, the system is not working properly.

The delegation said, in this direction a meeting was also held with the President of Clearing Agents at Lakhanpur to provide requisite staff for the submission of requisite documents in the night hours to avail the facility.

The issue regarding the problem being faced by cricket bat manufacturing units was also raised by Bansi Lal Gupta, Senior Vice President, AOI & it has been agreed that the Cricket Bat Association shall submit a list of the genuine manufacturers for providing green corridor facility for the export of Cricket Bats.

With regard to the issues raised, the Deputy Commissioner has assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis.
