FOSMI cancels session on 'Settlement Dispute Tax 2020' as precautionary step due to Corona outbreak

Kolkata, Mar 17 (KNN) The Federation of Small & Medium Industries (FOSMI) has cancelled an Interactive Session on 'Settlement Dispute Tax 2020' which was scheduled to be held on March 2oth amid COVID-19 scare.

''This is to inform all members of the Federation that the interactive session on Settlement Dispute Tax 2020 organized by the Federation on Friday, the 20th March, 2020 at FOSMI Conference Room has been postponed,'' FOSMI said. 

''This decision is in view of the precautionary alerts announced by the Government of India as well as the State Government discouraging gatherings in the public interest of avoiding spread of COVID – 19,'' FOSMI added.

The industries body requested members to kindly take note of the postponement and assured them that the new date for the session will be fixed once the situation improves and this will be communicated to members in advance.

So far, a total of 114 confirmed cases in India as of today, including 13 cured and 2 reported deaths. Contact tracing activity of these positive cases has led to identification of more than 5,200 contacts, who are kept under surveillance.
