FOSMI organises interactive session with NSIC chief

Kolkata, Oct 29 (KNN) To enable its members to avail of schemes available to the MSME sector, the Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) is organising an interactive session with Chairman and Managing Director of National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) tomorrow.
 
Chairman and Managing Director of National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC) Ravindra Nath would be addressing the members of FOSMI here.
 
The interaction would be beneficial especially for those unit owners who have dealings with NSIC, to learn about the schemes and clarify their doubts.
 
NSIC is an ISO 9001-2008 certified Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).  Its mission is to promote, aid and foster the growth of small industries and industry related micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.
 
It supports modernization; upgradation of technology, quality consciousness and at the same time strengthens linkages with large and medium enterprises and enhances exports - projects and products from small enterprises.
 
NSIC operates through countrywide network of offices and technical centres in the country. To manage operations in African countries, NSIC operates from its office in Johannesburg, South Africa. In addition, NSIC has set up Training cum Incubation Centres and with a large professional manpower; NSIC provides a package of services as per the needs of MSME sector.
 
NSIC carries forward its mission to assist small enterprises with a set of specially tailored schemes designed to put them in a competitive and advantageous position. The schemes comprise of facilitating marketing support, credit support, technology support and other support services.  (KNN/ES)
