FOSMI - QCI to organize ZED awareness program for MSMEs in Howrah

New Delhi, Dec 22 (KNN) In an attempt to facilitate knowledge regarding Zero Defect Zero Effect scheme among the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region, the Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) in association with Quality Council of India (QCI) will be organizing ZED awareness programs in Howrah.

 

FOSMI in a press statement informed that this upcoming program is a part of the second series of Industry Awareness Programmes on ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) Certification Scheme at different locations in West Bengal and outside Bengal under the aegis of QCI.

The event is scheduled for 28 December 2017 at Garden Palace, (opposite Dumurjala Stadium), Howrah commencing at 2.00 p.m.

The ZED programme envisages driving manufacturing with adoption of Zero Defect production processes without impacting the environment (Zero Effect) and encourages MSMEs to constantly upgrade their quality standards in products and processes.

The Federation is not charging fee for the program. However interested participants are required to carry documents including Udyog Aadhaar Registration Number/ EM Part – I/ EM Part -  II / PAN Card/ Aadhaar Card for the registration of the program.

The participating MSMEs at the program will be encouraged to register for ZED certification scheme and also undertake the assessment of their enterprises using ZED rating, FOSMI informed.

Quality council of India has planned to cover 26000 MSMEs in the next two years under Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) model, an earlier statement informed. (KNN/DA)
