Kolkata, 16 Dec (KNN) As per a communique from Federation of Small & Medium Industries, West Bengal (FOSMI), the forthcoming MSME Synergy for the District of Kolkata and 24 Parganas (South) will be held on 28th January 2022.

Before that a preparatory meeting will be held soon to discuss the issues and problems of the units under the said two districts and to identify the solutions.

FOSMI has asked their members having units at Kolkata and 24 Parganas (South) Districts forward their issues which need to be redressed to be forwarded to them by 21st December, 2021.

They have also asked the members to highlight the structural issues besides other issues which they wish to bring our attention to.

State MSME Departments have shown a very proactive approach to resolve the issues of the unit holders as it reflected in few recently held Synergies with other districts, said FOSMI.

The first MSME synergy, held for North 24-Parganas on Saturday, received an overwhelming response with proposals received for an investment worth nearly Rs 6000 crore in the district only that would lead to creation of about 50,000 employment opportunities. More than 400 entrepreneurs participated in the synergy and around 80 cases for permission, no objection certificate and licence were received of which 19 were settled on spot and rest will be disposed of soon.
