New Delhi, Nov 29 (KNN) The Global Entrepreneurship Summit yesterday kicked off in Hyderabad with over 150 countries attending the summit along with the US Delegation led by the Ivanka Trump, daughter of the US President Donald Trump.

Ivanka in her inaugural remarks highlighted the ties India and United States share and expressed possible collaborations to facilitate entrepreneurial ventures across sector especially among the women.

Ivanka in a press interview along the sidelines of the summit said that it is for  the first time that for this summit over 50% of this participants are women.

She further said that GES 2017 would stand as a global celebration that elevates the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs across the globe.

Commeding Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his work, Ivanka during her address said that the journey of the Prime Minister from an ordinary tea seller to becoming the prime Minister of the country provides for huge motivation to all the aspiring entrepreneurs.

She further appreciated PM’s schemes that are directed towards facilitating entrepreneurship among the citizens of the country.

Commenting on the main focus of the government’s across two nations, Ivanka added that both for India and US the main focus includes expanding economic opportunities for the different stakeholders, especially for women.

This year’s edition of the GES is being organized by Government of the United States of America and  NITI Aayog from November 28-30.

At GES 2017, over 1500 attendees, including entrepreneurs, investors, educators, government officials, and business representatives are expected to participate from different corners of the world. (KNN/DA)
