GNIDA to set up decentralized waste management system in Greater Noida

New Delhi, June 29 (KNN) The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is planning to set up multiple decentralized waste management system/facilities for managing waste generated from vegetable market waste, horticultural waste, bio-medical waste, residential waste, institutional waste, waste from urban waste, rural waste, waste from street sweeping etc.

In this regard the authority has invited expression of interest from operators for design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of decentralized solid waste generated for collection and processing system in each sector.

Through the multiple decentralized waste management system/facilities GNIDA wants to develop suitable capacities in Greater Noida for scientific remediation of solid waste.

The authority, in order to comply with the solid waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016 is willing to implement scientific collection, management and disposal of municipal solid waste generated in Greater Noida, which is over 160 metric tonnes per day.
