Goa Start-up Policy envisages 100 successful start-ups in next 5 yrs

New Delhi, May 1 (KNN) With a vision to make Goa one of the most preferred start-up destinations in India and to make it feature in the top-25 start-up destinations in Asia by 2025, the Goa government has unveiled its start-up policy.

The Union Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu launched the Goa start-up policy in the presence of State Information and Technology Minister Rohan  Khaunte.

The aim of the policy is to make Goa an aspirational geographical and human resource base for start-ups.

The policy contains various incentives for startups and to avail the benefits of these incentives, the startup policy includes various schemes by the government.

The policy’s endeavor is to create at least 100 successful startups in Goa in the next five years, targeting generations of employment for at least 5,000 Goans”, the policy document which uploaded on state government website said.

Also this policy aims to invite the best entrepreneurial minds to make Goa their professional base.

Further it will offer financial incentives to entrepreneurs to promote entrepreneurial eco-system in the Goa. (KNN/YV)
