IICA Hosts Inaugural NAIL Meet 2025 In Goa To Advance ESG Leadership

Panaji, Mar 3 (KNN) The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), operating under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, recently conducted the first National Association of Impact Leaders (NAIL) Meet 2025 in Goa. 

This significant gathering brought together over 100 participants, including prominent ESG professionals, policymakers, and thought leaders to exchange perspectives on sustainability trends and establish frameworks for responsible corporate practices. 

The event was conducted under the guidance of Shri Ajay Bhushan Prasad Pandey, who serves as both DG & CEO of IICA and Chairman of the National Financial Reporting Authority.

The proceedings commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Garima Dadhich, Associate Professor and Head of the School of Business Environment at IICA, who emphasised the increasing importance of ESG leadership in corporate sustainability and the necessity for organisations to adapt their strategies in accordance with global frameworks.

Ms. Aruna C. Newton, Vice President at Infosys Limited, delivered insights on how effective governance structures can enhance green technology adoption and promote corporate sustainability. 

Her presentation was followed by a UNICEF Public Relations Associate who analysed the social aspects of Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) Core, emphasising the importance of ethical business conduct.

A panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dadhich featured distinguished NAIL members from different batches who examined the implications of regulatory changes, including SEBI's new regulations, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, and structural changes in international sustainability frameworks. 

Senior officials from SEBI's Department of Debt and Hybrid Securities and corporate finance department provided authoritative perspectives on ESG rating developments and industrial benchmarks for BRSR Core implementation.

The technological dimension of ESG was addressed by a senior expert from KPMG India, who presented on artificial intelligence applications in ESG analytics and reporting. 

Representatives from WRI India and CEEW-CEF offered detailed analyses of greenhouse gas accounting methodologies and carbon markets' role in achieving net-zero objectives.

During the event, IICA announced the third edition of its flagship ESG conference, the National Conference on Responsible Business Conduct (NCRBC), scheduled for July 2-3, 2025, with registrations opening in March 2025.

The National Association of Impact Leaders is positioned to become a leading platform for IICA Certified ESG Professionals and Impact Leaders, fostering knowledge exchange and driving meaningful advancements in corporate sustainability practices.
